A careful route into provision

We work with local authorities, families, schools, case managers and social care so every placement is planned around the individual child or young person.

Initial Enquiry

Parents and carers can contact us directly, but local authority funding requires formal approval before placement begins.

Referral Review

We review history, strengths, needs, EHCP information, current provision and desired outcomes.

Proposal

We create a personalised proposal covering recommended provision, delivery model, outcomes and costings.

Agreement

Once approved and funded, we agree a start date and prepare the learner's transition.

Transition

Every placement begins with a structured 12-week period focused on trust, assessment and engagement.

Personal where it counts. Robust where it matters

Families need reassurance. Commissioners need evidence. Young people need adults who do not give up when progress is not linear.

Personalised

Programmes are shaped around strengths, needs, aspirations and EHCP outcomes.

Specialist

Qualified teachers, experienced SENCOs and specialist practitioners support planning and delivery..

flexible

Online, community-based and blended models allow provision to fit the learner.

Relational

Connection and trust come before pressure, because safety is the foundation for learning.

Evidence-led

Progress is reviewed and reported across education, wellbeing, independence and future routes.

Future-focused

Learning is linked to confidence, life skills, meaningful qualifications and next steps.

The cost of staying stuck is not just academic.

When a young person feels unsafe, unseen or misunderstood, learning becomes another thing to survive. Leftfield begins before the timetable: with the conditions that make engagement possible.

Safety is built into the culture, not added at the end

Safeguarding is at the heart of Leftfield Learning. Staff receive regular safeguarding training, enhanced safer recruitment checks and ongoing updates.
